This September 17–20, the inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville tees off at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, the Jack Nicklaus-designed course about 30 minutes south of Reynolds Mountain. And this isn't a one-time visit — the Championship is a four-year commitment, with Biltmore Estate and Explore Asheville as co-title sponsors, putting Asheville on the professional golf calendar every fall through 2029.

Country Club of Asheville — the closest classic

Just down the mountain in North Asheville, the Country Club of Asheville traces its roots to 1894, making it one of the oldest clubs in the South. Its Donald Ross-designed course, opened in 1928 and restored in 2016, winds through the Beaverdam Valley with mountain views on nearly every hole.
